Books have been quite the distraction from my pencil making acquaintance to the paper in my sketchbook, but when I finally got down to it, I felt like my weekend was too good to skip...
I played Badminton with cousins this weekend, which was soooo much fun!
More sporting weekends to come I hope....
I've also been reading, listening to, rather, the Hunter S. Thompson bio, Outlaw Journalist, by William McKeen, it's been great company on my long drives to and from work; so I've truly grown to love and admire HST's contributions to culture and literature, more than I already do. Full of fantastic anecdotes, and not a dull moment. Also, it makes me want to re-read some of his books I already read....
He's probably one of THE most notable Americans, ever (in my book of course).
Annnnnd, speaking of notable peeps, I celebrated my lovely mom's birthday. If you know me pretty well, you know it's quite difficult for me NOT to talk about her. So, I tried capturing her in the form of a line drawing, but I couldn't quite get her right....not yet at least....Anyway, it was a lovely celebration of the day my mom was born....
